I own a copy of this song from an RnB compilation album I bought a couple years ago. The songs they have are very nice and well composed. One of the best songs from the album is Anything. Such a good RnB music you should listen. I especially like the renown Jackson brothers voice in it.
When your mind is a mess so is mine I cant sleep cause it hurts when I think My thoughts aren’t at peace with the plans that we make chances we take they’re, not yours they’re not mine
On February 28, 2009, Sioen released his 4th album: 'Calling Up Soweto'. I haven't checked the album or the video on Youtube yet. Maybe soon... ^^ In this album, this Belgian musician featured with Pops Mohammed and Khaya Malangu.
Anyway, all I can remember about Sioen is a song called Crusin'. I saw the video a couple years ago on MTV. It was awesome! I fell in love with the melodies and how he plays the piano. Wonderful.
Here it is...
Staring bright through the window You're bending over to me A sentimental forsaken You're trying hard yet to comfort But you're waving me goodbye A sentimental forsaken
The first time I listened to this song is when I was watching the movie Ice Age 3. It's the cover version though. If I wasn't mistaken, the cover was Chad Fisher's.
After that, I hurriedly search for the original version by Gilbert O'Sullivan and it's way much better than Chad Fisher's I think. The lyric's really deep. About a man who's questioning God and his mercy and blah blah blah.
I don't know why but I really love the guitar. I listen to this again and again lately. Still on my playlist. :D
And when she passed away
I cried and cried all day
Alone again, naturally...
A good song about losing someone you love.
Well, if you want to hear it, maybe you should look for it in some 'Memories' album. Because it was released in 1972.
For your information, it's originally Frank and Nancy Sinatra's.
The time is right Your perfume fills my head The stars get red And oh the night's so blue And then I go and spoil it all By saying something stupid Like I love you
I first knew Michael Learns To Rock a couple years ago. I found their cassette on my cousin's car and I love them ever since.
Soft rock never dies. I know it since I knew MLTR. Almost all of their songs are great. This Danish band absolutely make good music.
One of my favorite songs of them is 25 Minutes. I guess it tells about a woman who lost her fiance exactly on their wedding day, while another man's brokenhearted. Tragic and obviously sad. Quite touchy. Just read the lyric...
For those who don't know Michael Learns To Rock, I strongly advise you to buy one of their album. Trust me you won't regret it. ^^
Still from OST A Walk to Remember, a movie adapted from Nicholas Sparks novel with the same title, people who like Only Hope by Mandy Moore maybe also know this song.
Quite a good song. Though I like Only Hope better, but this song is enjoyable enough for me. John Foreman featured in this song, creating a perfect duet with Mandy Moore's soft voice.
No very special thing in this song, though. Just like another romantic-love-song, you'll find splash of pop-romantic (pardon my weirdo term ^^) here. The only thing that captured my attention is some of the lyrics.
Whatever happened to Amelia Earhart
Who holds the stars up in the sky?
Is true love just once in a lifetime?
Did the captain of the Titanic cry?
But anyway, I recommend you to listen this song best in you're car, while driving and missing someone.
So, waking up this morning I've been selecting some tunes for the day. And then I suddenly picked this one : Dance Inside by The All-American Rejects.
Like it's title, this song is going to make you dance. Cool song. Though by hearing this song I actually just wanna pick my guitar, do some stupid lip sync on my bed and jump jump like crazy. Haha. :D
Say now you want to shake me too
Move down to me
Slip in to you
If you want to listen, it's in the "Move Along" album which was released on 2005 by Interscope Records. It's also in the same album with Dirty LIttle Secret, It Ends Tonight, and Stab My Back.
I know there are some covers for this wellknown song. The original one is sung by Bee Gees, the popular British group. I know you certainly know them. They're one of the most famous vocal groups in the world!
But I think I have two favorite versions of this song, and the ones that I recommend you to listen beside the original one.
Take That
The first one is from Take That. One of British boybands. They sing it very beautifully. When I hear it, I feel like walking in a park, under the stars, in a warm summer night. If you love the original one, you'll love this!
The Bird and The Bee
The second one, and maybe my most favorite, is from The Bird and The Bee, a musical duo from Los Angeles. They make it very slow, very smooth, and the most important...Inara George's voice is extremely wonderful.
It was already on my playlist on Winamp actually but I never heard it before. I wasn't a big fan of Deryck Whibley and friends, honestly. So I didn't realize that I got this song on my computer until a friend of mine texted me in a super boring evening. She said that a boy who has been her admirer sent a song for her. And there was it... With Me by SUM 41.
I quickly browsed my computer then. I suddenly remembered that I've already had this song. It was in the "Underclass Hero" album.
The first time I listen to it, I knew that I've fallen for this song. For a punk-rock-metal-or-whatever band like SUM 41, this song is very romantic. The lyric's deep and the melody...hell gooood!! A kind of song that girls would want their boyfriends to sing. (Corny but true! Hahaha. :D)
These words are my heart and soul
I hold on to this moment you know
Cause I'd bleed my heart out to show
That I won't let go
And for your information, this song is actually used in one of the famous Gossip Girl episodes too.
Okay, so this is my first post here... So happy that I can share some of my favorite songs. More to come, pals! ^^
So, I've been listening to this James Morrison's lately. As you read on the title, it's called "Fix the World Up for You". Great song, really! As usual, Morrison gives a very good piece for my ears to listen to.
The song actually tells about a guy who wants to fix the world for someone whom he loves (isn't it obvious??). He willings to do anything for that someone. Even if he has to sacrifice himself. He wants to assure his someone that he will always be there to make everything okay. Quite romantic and somewhat sad.
My favorite lines :
But I, oh I, I'm gonna fix this world up for you
I'll try, I'll try to build it all around you.
You'll never gonna have to be alone
You'll always know you got someone to fix the world up for you...
And other lines :
But I've been doing all I can
To stop you falling
Even now I'm holding my breath for you
This song is in "Songs For You, Truths For Me" album. Highly recommended beside the known hit, You Make it Real!
